about
November 2008 many things happened in the world and in our lives that affected us deeply, the ballot Proposition 8 that was passed in California was one of them. I couldn't believe that in our day and age we could still lose the basic rights that we already have. I felt angry and hurt and powerless and felt the need share. Our Song November, written November 2008, featured on our November 2009 release, We're Not Strangers, gave us the outlet to express ourselves. At the time of the release and until a few days ago Proposition 8 had still not been thrown out. Now even if Prop 8 is clearly and legally violative of the US federal constitution some folks are still pushing to get it reinstated.
So for now and until the entire planet ACCEPTS and does not just TOLERATE the LGBT community I will continue to feel so small but big enough to make a difference.

November © 2009 Mad June
I feel,
So small
The news is sinking in,
So Small
My head is emptying
So, so small
My brain is freezing
So so small
The World is
Burning, burning, burning.
La la la la la la
I feel,
So small,
Prop 8 is hating
So small,
Humans regressing,
So, so small
My heart is breaking
So so small
The cancer’s
Killing, killing killing
La la la la la la
Une fleur devient poussière
Une ville réduite en cendres
Il fait froid sans ta lumière
Un mois, une nuit, novembre.
